The task of seeking a reputable firm to replace some 24 windows was somewhat daunting especially as I had never contracted for such work before. I obtained quotes and information from three companies and Tec Glass immediately stood head and shoulders above the competition in terms of : genuine interest in the project and advising on the right window solution for the house; straightforward pricing (no high figure and discounting so typical of the industry) and  a great product. The delivery and installation of the windows was perfect and to a standard that was in-excess of my expectation. Leigh and his team went out of their way to communicate clearly and they performed to a great standard including dealing with some further window sill repair work that had not originally been anticipated. I would have no hesitation in using Tec Glass again and would thoroughly recommend them.

Secondary Glazing, Replacement windows

We initially commissioned Tec Glass to undertake some repair and restoration work on the leaded light windows of our Grade II listed cottage. From first consultation through to completion we were impressed with the service. There was no hard sell, only genuine advice from someone who clearly cared about his work and with a wealth of experience from which to offer it. The job was completed to a high standard, on time and the premises left in a tidy state. Frequent email communication kept us in the loop with regard to the progress of our job in an efficient manner and the ability to pay electronically added to this convenience. Furthermore during the course of this work it came to light that the secondary glazing we were keen to invest in could also be supplied and installed by TEC glass. We found the information available on the web site and through private communication extremely useful and had no hesitation in placing our order. WOW – what a difference it makes! Our secondary glazing was installed just in time for the November cold snap: -8degC outside but so much warmer on the inside! Not only was there a marked increase in the warmth of our cottage but exterior noise was significantly attenuated and internal condensation eliminated.

Crittall window and leaded light restoration

When we first met TecGlass, we had no idea how lucky we were to have found them. We had a house full of beautiful old windows with diamond leaded lights, which over time had been covered in white gloss paint and the glass and leads had all bowed out of shape, many cracking and breaking.  Over time, each and every window was taken out by Tec Glass, sand-blasted and powder coated to bring the frames back to their original colour of black and you could actually see the frame and the lovely handles. At the same time, they made new leads for every single window using old glass in every one, resulting in a wonderful effect and bringing the house back to its original beauty. Windows which had previously been painted closed or were too warped to open and close properly, were restored and brought back into use.   Given that one of the main reasons for us buying the house was the windows, we are thrilled to have them brought back to their former beauty and also in working order. We cannot recommend Tecglass highly enough. Many thanks for all your hard work and care.

Leaded window restoration

We have no hesitation in recommending Tec Glass. They lovingly restored and repaired 23 of our Grade II listed windows. They are knowledgeable, meticulous and trustworthy, a joy to work with. We're delighted with the result. Their price was fair and excellent value for money. It's a shame we don't have any more windows to restore - the excellent work means that we won't require their services again for 10 - 15 years!
